Purpose

System firmware requirements to support the Sun Flash Accelerator F20 ESM lifespan of two or three years.

Scope

The intended audience is any system administrator who needs to monitor the Sun Flash Accelerator F20 ESM to ensure it is replaced at the end of its life cycle.

Details

The Sun Flash Accelerator F20 ESM provides backup power to the flash modules if the host power is lost.  The ESM should be replaced every two or three years - see chart below.

To accurately track when the ESM requires replacement, please ensure the minimum required system firmware (ILOM or XCP) is installed.
